Tibetan invaders and next is to Kyichu Lhakhang Temple, the oldest monastery in

Bhutan built in the 7th century. Here, you can see how Bhutanese farmers lived and get

a chance to Taste local rice wine known as Ara, a traditional alcoholic beverage made

from native high-altitude tolerant barley, rice, or wheat.

Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, is home to iconic landmarks that showcase the country's rich culture and natural beauty. Visitors can marvel at the 167-foot Buddha statue at Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point), explore the National Memorial Chorten, or visit the Motithang Takin Preserve, dedicated to protecting Bhutan’s national animal. Tiger's Nest, a stunning temple perched on a cliff at about 3,000 meters, is one of the most incredible temples in the world.
